6x6 Cannonball post cap

The cap posts were exactly what we were looking for to finish off our deck. Wish we could have rated with half stars as we would give them a solid four and a half stars. Needed to round the post corners to install the caps.

It looks nice on my 6x6 mailbox post. Needed to round the corners of the post for it to sit properly. Overall, very well pleased.

I received my (7) 6x6 post caps. The quality of the caps is very good and they look great. Well constructed, metal thickness good and the **** is solid. I had two issues though. First was the several of the caps were dented during the shipping process. Each cap was individually wrapped in bubble wrap, but should have had more in the box to stop from them banging together during shipping. I was able to remove the dents without chipping the paint. Second, the caps don't really fit a square 6x6 post that I purchased from Home Depot. I had to router about ¼" off each corner of the 6x6 posts to fit the caps. Sanding the corners would work too. I didn't permanently attach the caps to the 6x6, they are heavy enough the they will not come off. Hope this helps. Peace
