The caps arrived beautifully packaged, they look well made and perfectly matched their description. But I have not had a chance to install them yet.

Heavy Duty Narrow Body Nautical Rope Ring
Our Nautical rope holders are a decorative way of installing a nautical rope fence on round posts without having to drill holes in your posts. Made to order in our Madison, Indiana Veteran owned family business, we take great pride in our craftsmanship and providing our customers with unique, functional, and decorative handmade products for your home.
We make these to fit a variety of different sized rope and give a large variety of finishes to match your decor. These rope rings have a narrow body in the back so they can be bolted onto a round post. We have several other designs on our website if you don't have round post and want some more design, don't be afraid to check them out. If you live around the salty coast like Florida, you will want to get the zinc undercoat for extreme rust resistance.
Backplate Size: 4" (L) x 1" (W)
Ring Size Options:
- 2-1/2" Opening fits a 2" rope
- 1-3/4" Opening fits a 1-1/2" rope.
- 1-1/4" Opening fits a 1" rope.
Features:
- Made of heavy-duty American made steel and hand welded construction.
- Finished in a variety of colors in a high-quality powder coat paint with UV inhibitors to prevent fading.
- Zinc powder coat under coat available if you live in "Salty" locations such as Florida.
- Rope Ring Holders have pre-drilled holes and come with matching 1" long lag bolts.

Love the product, the caps, if you order correctly, you will find that you will need to do some hand work on you're 6x6 pressure treated posts --- the caps are rounded on the corners. I ended up needing to router the tops on each post. That being said, the product is excellent -- You will need to take a look at the company YOUTUBE cap explanation --- it will come in handy, and will prepare you for when the caps arrive -- when my caps arrived -- I thought I ordered the wrong product -- which was alarming -- because each product is made to order -- and not exchangeable or refundable -- That being said, the good people at Madison emailed me this youtube video --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxhKteKiQts After some research and work on my part -- the caps fit really good and tight -- I haven't installed the roping as of yet. We are pleased with my design, and Madisons high end product works perfectly with our vision !

Madison Iron manufactured custom truss brackets for my project. The quality of the parts is excellent and their service was excellent as well. Custom products are hard since issues often come up that need to be resolved. We ran into one such issue and Madison was quick to work with me to figure things out. I recommend Madison over Simpson!

It looks great and well made. I have to wait until spring to really use it. I did put it on the outside post loved the look it gives the post. I have lights on the other post but one didn’t fit on the one closest to the house this crab makes a finished look. Would recommend it

I ordered some hummingbird post caps and plain post caps in the same color - navy blue. The hummingbird caps will look great in my pollinator garden - and the plain ones will be used to cap off the posts for my sailcloth canopy. I know that these are unique products - both high quality and in a variety of designs to complement different landscapes while actually protecting the tops of my 4x4 posts. I also appreciate the fact that coordinating screws are provided.

This our new garden area; we are calling it "the Final Frontier" because it is the last available space on our 1 acre. It has always been a field of a terrible invasive weed that has been hard to keep under control, let alone get rid of. But we did finally get it out. I designed the hard-scape and chose and planted the plants. We wanted all the things this type of setting should have: firepit, tree of life metal sculpture, fountain and windchimes. Your post cap is perfect at the top of the windchime post featuring a hummingbird, as the flowers will attract many.
