True 4x4 Pyramid Style Post Cap
- Fits 4x4 actual size post. Post caps actual size are slightly larger to accommodate mill tolerances, excess paint... on steel post - the opening under the cap is anywhere between 4-1/16 and 4-1/4"
- Pyramid style cast iron - Being a cast iron cap instead of steel means this cap had a rougher texture than steel caps and sometimes have flashing marks. This is part of the casting process so please be aware of this when ordering. This is not a reason for return or discount due to this.
- Finished in a variety of colors in a high-quality powder coat paint with UV inhibitors to prevent fading. - Please be aware that if you order bare metal but include the zinc coating it will no be bare metal, but bare metal with a powder coat zinc applied
- We offer a zinc powder coat under coat if you live in coastal areas or a high traffic area and you need the extra rust resistance. - please be aware if you order the bare-metal finish with zinc it will come with a grey looking powder coat finish. This is best if you are wanting to paint them yourself but want some rust protection.
- Post Caps Do Not come with pre-dilled Holes. Easy installation with epoxy/Construction adhesive.
- These have a tighter corner than our steel post caps which makes them ideal to use with a post that has very square ends.

Very high quality! The only problem was that these caps were too small for my nominal 6x6 posts, by about an eighth of an inch all around. Haven’t quite figured out how I’m going to take that much wood off the posts to make these caps fit, but I will find a way, I love these caps!

Loved the caps! It was very hard to get them to fit on the 5.5x5.5 posts. Took a lot of routering and rasping for my husband to get to fit. Would have been easier if slightly bigger. Our posts were exactly5.5 x5.5. They are exactly what I wanted.
